So, what's with this new trend of Horoscope hair for women?

Honestly, I think I can only really be half on board with this concept. You may be thinking, what is she talking about now?

The horoscope hair trend uses your zodiac sign and common characteristics to create a colour and/or style that would 'apparently' suit you.

I admit, I quite like the idea. It's a bit of fun, a creative way of thinking up colours and styles for your hair but is it really going to work out for you? The chances are, your skin tone may not be well complimented by the tones. Your face shape may not be complimented by the suggested style. As a professional hairdresser, I can assure you that not everyone suits the same styles or colours.

Anyway, I'm going to give you the low down- according to the fashion news of 2026.

These are the colours/styles suggested for each sign, and the reasons for it.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Earth Sign, known for being hardworking and organised. The beautifully blunt bob sits perfectly on the jawline. Styled to a smooth and sleek finish. It is a perfect style to compliment a Capricorn’s nature, and it exudes sophistication.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

Air sign. A little mystical and wild maybe – Space buns create a wonderful relaxed feel. Not too perfected and not too tidy. This works beautifully well with a few whispy hairs left loose and framing the face. It is pretty cute.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Water sign. Known typically for being creative. A style with edge works well with the chracteristics. A short Pixie cut with texture or a shaggy mullet will offer dimension and fun while creating movement.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Fire sign and known for their fiery nature to match, Pastel shades are suggested to balance this out. A subtle tone without being overpowering. Personally, I feel that a fiery character, would be more suited to a vibrant and bold tone instead.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Earth sign. One of the more romantic signs, Mermaid waves are suggested to show the essence of romance whilst showing femininity and softness. I do actually think this one works- if you are indeed the romantic sort.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Air sign- Geminis tend to be described as having split personalities and this suggestion to me feels a little chiche but...… A two tone hair colour will give the effects of drastic differences between the two sides. As Geminis tend to think out of the box, a pop of colour or high contrasting tones are suggested.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Water sign Cancers radiate sunshine because they were born into it. Suggestions for this sign are to head for a golden blonde with glossy rich hues within.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

Fire sign, Represented by the Lion- Choose Auburn tones and fierce reds which create a beautiful vibrant look suggesting power and strength. I actually kind of like this idea.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Earth sign, Known for being somewhat perfectionists, a pristinely polished up-do seems to suit. This is a style that's seems to be rocking the fashion world in 2026. So elegant.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Air sign, long layers blended throughout a long haired style– balancing the layers. Libras are generally known their chic appeal and love of aesthetic beauty.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Water sign, Scorpions are known to be one of the most mysterious signs, It is suggested that scorpios should opt for a super-dark yet creamy brunette tone. This shade balances seduction and sophistication perfectly. I can get on board with this, as long as your skin tone allows.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Fire sign, known for being the life of the party. why not choose a big bouncy blow-dry to match this vibe? This is a timeless look offering both glamour and confidence.

Of course, this blog is just my personal opinion and really- just a little bit of fun. I still highly recommend that you choose hairstyles and colours that work for your unique characteristics and you feel amazing for feeling like a fantastic version of yourself- whatever your star sign.
